Modern missionaries actively participate in many types of ministries. Paul and missionaries today share the united purpose of preaching Christ and discipling believers.

A Message from the Director...

The Church is confronting some of the greatest challenges at the turn of 21st century. New York City, with its multicultural environment, offers the Church a world of opportunities for service and engagement with people from countless religious and cultural backgrounds. Global issues are also challenging the Hispanic American Church to become an agent of change. The Church must reflect on its mission and equip its membership to meet the global challenges. Christians must theologically and socially interpret the needs of the urban environment and network to bring about change in the power of the Holy Spirit. A dialogue between “text and context” is needed if we are to engage in a genuine biblical theology of mission that relates to urban and global needs. We must also define and articulate the way we accomplish global and intercultural outreach.

I am confident that the Omega Vega School of Urban and Global Mission will make an educational contribution that the Holy Spirit will use to empower the Christian community and guide it to a new dimension of doing urban and global outreach.
